CASTRONUÑO, A PRIVILEGED AND CENTRIC PLACE

VILLA DEL LIBRO - URUEÑA
La Villa del Libro (Book Villa) is exciting and unusual project that surprises with restored bookstores that recover the local, traditional materials integrated in the environment with an attractive and romantic well cared aesthetic that brings the historical and Provenzal charm blend with the modern-day comfort.

TORO
Toro is a medieval and charming villa that preserves the kindness and warmth of local and traditional trade. It belongs to the D.O. Toro wine appellation, and wines and other typical local products can be found at its varied stores, recently renewed for the "Las Edades del Hombre" exhibition. At its numerous taverns at the Jewish Quarter the visitor can taste delicious tapas, and contemplate from the Colegiata pointview the Duero river, as scrumptious pastries made by nuns in the convents can be tasted. Toro is 15 kms from Castronuño.
SALAMANCA
Salamanca is one of the more beautiful cities in Spain. In 1.985 was declared World Heritage City by the UNESCO. Only the fact of walking by its streets is a delight for the eyes, just like in a film set. The University environment provides to Salamanca with an international and multicultural air that can be breathed in all its corners, that blend Tradition and Modernity.
VALLADOLID
Valladolid excels in scrumptius gastronomy that can be found specially in the city center and the surroundings of the Plaza Mayor, where dozens of restaurants surprise with delicious dishes.
ZAMORA
Zamora is the headquarters for Ecocultura, the "Spanish-Portuguese" Fair Trade for Organic Products, and one of the most emblematic one nationally in the organic sector. Hundreds of exhibitors from all sectors meet; shoe, food, clothing, garden and others. It is known to be one of the most well-cared, and its organizing committee has achieved a great success in terms of public, year after year, to reach its XIII edition. It is held in October during the second weekend.
MEDINA DEL CAMPO
Medina del Campo is an important villa deeply rooted in tradition based on numerous fairs and markets. Historically, Medina del Campo has been a meeting point and is kept in existence. The "Semana Renacentista" is one of the most well-known and it takes place in August. The Organic Fair takes plece in September.
TORDESILLAS
Tordesillas is a villa with an important cultural, historic and artistic heritage. Visitors can be visit the Arab baths.
