LA CASA DEL PARQUE

La Casa del Parque is the place for public use which belongs to the Castilla y León Natural Spaces Network.

These pictures show part of the ground floor. Cristina and Alberto will welcome you.

These photos show the entrance to the birwatching observatory on the ground floor too.

The photo on the left shows the lever with which you can control the camera installed down at the pool over the river. The photo in the middle brings the enlarged image of this stork at the pool. Finally, the photo on the right shows a panel with drawings of the most usual birds you will find in the sanctuary. They are underlined with their names to be identified.

These photos show the exit from the bird observatory and, at the end, the stairs go up to the top floor (picture on the left), and, then, the arrival (picture on the right) to the same. You will find games to identify warble birds, and others referred to the ecosystem formed by the Duero river.

Also, on the top floor, you will find a showroom. Painting, Sculpting, or any other type of exhibiton are almost always shown.

The closed wooden back door opens to a room where a wooden boat has been placed simulating a trip by the Duero river. Once there, you can watch a documentary about the sanctuary.

Seated on this nice boat you will get a better understanding of all the ecosystem and area.

I hope that you have enjoyed this virtual and guided visit. But first, you must come and visit the observatory, watch birds, and meet Alberto and Cristina. Yes, you will hear by your own how it sounds the heron when she is angry!
